GPL Challenge 2023
Our 2023 virtual Girls Programming League Challenge will be on Saturday, September 16, 2023. This year the theme of our contest will be CS & AI!

The GPL Challenge is a one-day event comprising a programming contest, keynote speech, panel discussion, and awards, with the goal to inspire and empower young women to participate in computer science, technology, and AI. The competition will provide female students with the opportunity to solve creative programming problems in either a novice or advanced division, while the keynote speech and panel discussion aim to give the participants insight into the current state of the field from a female perspective.

Dr. Yang Ye
Christina Li is interested in how technology can shape human’s behavior. She is a two-time USACO finalist and EGOI member. Christina likes art and sharing thoughts with different ppl.
Kim Hazelwood is a Senior Director of AI Research and Engineering at Meta. Her organization focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence and open science. Kim holds a PhD in Computer Science from Harvard and has published 50+ research papers/books. She received the MIT "Top 35 Innovators under 35"​ award, and ACM "Test of Time" award.
Chloe Ma is the Vice President of China Go-To-Market in Arm's IOT Line of Business, responsible for market development, ecosystem expansion and overall P&L of AIoT, edge computing, and data storage markets.
Chloe holds an MBA from the Wharton, MSEE from USC, and BS in Electronics from Peking University, China.
Tina Wang is an EGOI gold medalist. Currently she is a senior at Marquette High School in Missouri. She began her coding journey in 7th grade and has had a passion for competitive programming ever since. In April 2023, she was selected a USACO finalist and then qualified for the EGOI USA team. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, reading, and spending time with her friends.
Xiao Li is currently the VP of Engineering of Dasher & Logistics at DoorDash. Prior to DoorDash, she led engineering teams at Instagram and Facebook for over 10 years. Before joining Facebook in 2011, she worked at Microsoft as a researcher in machine learning. Xiao was a recipient of the MIT Tech Review 35 award. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Yang Ye holds a PhD degree from University of Michigan, her field of study is Computational Linguistics. She has 15 years of experience in product & program management in Search Advertising and Search across Microsoft and Apple. She currently leads Apple AIML org Search and Machine Learning Application PM group.
